Ordering Your Customized Photo Paintings

 

Planning your base photo session: High resolution base photos are required for the best possible results. Ideal lighting is outdoor natural daylight out of direct sunlight or brightly lit indoors. Poor lighting will produce an undesirable portrait. Photos taken at eye level work best for head shots. Looking away or at the camera are fine. For full body photos, appx waist level should work fine. For child paintings with most animals/wildlife, you are welcome to use one of our costumes or one of your own favorites. Autumn wildlife, holiday, dance and sports paintings require your own photo. Images with minimal distortion are preferred for best quality. If using your own photo, extensive editing to make it usable may incur additional fees. We cannot work with blurry or out of focus photos.

 

How The Portrait Process Works

STEP 1 - Choose Your Costume and Background

• Start by choosing your background scene, costume, as well as portrait size.  If you need multiple subjects included in this portrait, please just contact us for suggestions and advice.
• Hats, crowns and tiaras are subject to photo being used due to hair and head angle. We will do our absolute best to use the one you love. We have several to choose from.

STEP 2 - Send Us Your Chosen Photos

• We will review the photos you send to make sure it will produce an amazing portrait.  If we feel these will not work well, we will contact you for any and all alternatives.  
• Once we have agreed on a base image, we will guide you through the order process. When payment is received, we will begin creating your once in a lifetime portrait.
• When completed we will present you with a proof to approve. Normally within 48 hours. Once approved, your order will be sent out for printing. No returns on approved custom work.

​STEP 3 - Delivery

• Your order will take appx 2 weeks for printing. Once we received the finished portrait, we will ship it out within 48 hours by US postal system. We will provide you with a tracking number.

 

Portrait Policies​

• We use YOUR photo for your portrait. Extracting people from original background is time consuming and tedious. Great care must be taken not to allow any halo of original surrounding colors to remain. This process also requires the majority of hair to be removed and digitally redesigned. Hair will be replaced as closely as possible.  We will offer options and suggestions during the entire process to help you assemble this very special artwork.
• We are happy to accommodate special requests such as custom background scenes or other components whenever possible.
• Price shown includes 1 subject - additional subjects are more than welcome for an additional fee.
• We reserve the right to display finished portraits for advertising.

PLEASE NOTE:  Each monitor displays colors and light/dark differently, so your actual portrait may differ slightly from what you see here on your desktop computer or cell phone.  

 

Although we can work with lower lit | resolution originals, the finished portrait will not be as clear and detailed as one with good resolution.
